Three children made their First Holy Communion in Crosspatrick on the 30th of May.

Sponsored Walk
The annual sponsored walk in aid of the school was held on Sunday, 23 May 2010. The route took the walkers through Rathpoleen, Ballydonnell, Bawn, Garrylaun, Rathpatrick, Bayswell, Rathosheen, Toornamongan and Lough.
The sun was at its highest and hottest and everyone - parents and children - enjoyed the refreshments afterwards, which were sponsored by Crosspatrick Community Shop.
Confirmation 2010
Congratulations to our eight pupils who made their Confirmation in Johnstown on Saturday 8 May.
French Lessons
The course of conversational French for pupils in our school, conducted by Miss Fogarty, and which began in January, has now concluded. It was a great success, and it is hoped that the classes can be held again next year.
The Big Freeze
Over the Christmas 2009 and into the New Year 2010 we had more snow and ice than we've had for many years. Temperatures reached double figures below zero. Birds and animals did the best they could to stay warm. The moon had a partial eclipse, and the sun tried hard to shine through the freezing fog.
