Welcome to the Diocese of Ossory

Welcome to the Website of the Diocese of Ossory.  Ossory is a diocese of just over 84,000 people in south-east Ireland.  It has forty-two parishes in the counties of Kilkenny, Laois and Offaly.

It is a Diocese with a long history.  Our Patron Saint – and first Bishop – was St. Kieran of Saighir, who lived in the fifth century.  Through this site we hope to make you aware of the various aspects of our cultural heritage
